The Jungle Rave EP, the inaugural release on Cruise International Label, marked the onset of the Acid House era in the late 80s to early 90s. This genre, characterized by beeping sounds, stuttering vocals, and random drum machine patterns, played a pivotal role in the UK’s Rave Culture explosion.

The late 80s saw the emergence of Acid House, whose psychedelic bass lines resonated with a youth culture increasingly influenced by the illegal drug ecstasy (MDMA). The drug’s hallucinogenic and stimulant effects synergized with the energetic beats of Acid House, defining the Rave Culture experience.
