It’s hard to underestimate the great genius of Lee Perry one of the Reggae Greats this single provides a small but life-affirming snippet. If you are unfamiliar with the mid ’70s works he produced at his Black Ark Studio, this is a great way to dip your toe into the vast pool of music he has produced and /or performed.

Tracks such as “War in a Babylon” by Max Romeo with it’s classic, big sounding bass line, and the falsetto voice of Junior Murvin’s Police & Thieves, plus the melodic sound of “Party Time” by The Heptones, and of course “Roast Fish and Cornbread” sung by Lee Scratch Perry him self, with the double AA side called “Free The Weed”.
