DX1 was formed in Leeds UK 1996 when two brothers had a vision to recreate a modern style of dub with an authentic Jamaican sound.

From the early years of their youth, the two brothers Michael and Conrad acquired an ear for music, as their father exposed them to different music genres, ranging from rock steady, ska, rhythm and blues, to calypso, jazz, mento and reggae.
